Whitefish JV edge Stillwater; Bigfork blanked in Missoula
WHITEFISH — A goal by Bella Wilson in the 43rd minute was enough to lift the Whitefish JV to a 1-0 victory over Stillwater Christian School (2-5-1) in a nonconference girls soccer match at Smith Fields on Thursday.
“We struggled in the midfield being able to control the ball,” Stillwater coach JR Hemp said.
“The Bulldogs were great going for the ball and won most of the 50/50 balls in the match. Whitefish has good, technical skills and is patient moving the ball. Once again our defenders, Laura Hartland, Madi Schwartz, Chole Mathwig and Linnea Hodgskiss kept us in the match. We let one in on a defensive breakdown.”
