Bigfork throttles Libby, stays unbeaten

BIGFORK — Matt Farrier scored four touchdowns and Augie Emslie passed for three more, two to Logan Taylor, as Bigfork blasted Libby 48-6 in a District 7B contest on Friday night.

Farrier had scoring runs of 2, 4 and 28 yards. He also caught an 80-yard touchdown pass from Emslie.

Taylor’s scoring catches covered 27 and 46 yards.

Bigfork (7-0, 3-0) had 523 yards total offense to 157 for Libby (1-6, 1-2).

Emslie completed 6 of 14 passes for 191 yards.

Farrier wound up with 152 yards on 16 carries for a 9.5-yard per carry average.

Anders Epperly, who scored the final touchdown on a 22-yard scamper, had three carries for 108 yards.

Taylor finished with four receptions for 102 yards.

Libby quarterback Braydan Thom was 7 of 20 passing for 41 yards. He rushed 10 times for 38 yards.

Nik Jones rushed for 36 yards on 12 attemtps and Clancy Gout had 35 yards rushing for the Loggers on 11 totes.

Columbia Falls 42, Whitefish 0

WHITEFISH — Columbia Falls stayed undeafeated on the football season, notching another impressive victory in thrashing Whitefish at Memorial Field in a Northwestern A contest.

Columbia Falls (6-0 overall, 1-0 league) had 510 yards total offense to 65 yards for Whitefish (2-5, 0-2).

“The kids played well,” Columbia Falls coach Jackson Schweikert said. “The Bulldogs played hard ... we felt like they played pretty well, too. We kind of wore them down.”

Senior quarterback Dakota Bridwell passed for three touchdowns and ran for two more. He was 20 of 41 passing for 317 yards.

Braxton Reiten, five catches for 124 yards, caught a 28-yard TD pass from Bridwell. Bryce Fagerland had the other touchdown reception, 47 yards.

Logan Kolodejchuk, 23 carries for 115 yards, scored on a 6-yard run.

Schweikert said Bridwell “threw the ball really well, again. Our O-line did an excellent job of pass blocking and we were able to run the ball between the tackles.”

BUTTE — Senior quarterback Tanner Wilson had touchdown runs of 10, 28 and 14 yards and connected with Matt Rensvold on scoring passes of 26 and 10 yards as Polson (5-1) battered Butte Central (4-3) in a Class A nonconference contest.

Wilson rushed 21 times for 201 yards. He was 7 of 17 passing for 69 yards.

Colton Cote had 173 yards rushing for Polson on 19 carries. He had a 12-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Rensvold had five receptions for 47 yards.

TROY — Hank Dunn, a freshman wide receiver/backup quarterback, returned an interception 40 yards for a touchdown, caught a 63-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Garrett Graves and passed for two scores as Eureka crushed Troy in a District 7B contest.

Eureka (6-1, 3-0) held a 41-0 halftime lead.

Cannan Smith had touchdown runs of 47 and 2 yards, both in the opening quarter.

Eureka rolled up 371 yards total offense to 70 for Troy.

Graves was 5 of 11 passing for 126 yards and a touchdown. Dunn was 6 of 7 for 89 yards.

Smith had 66 yards rushing on six attempts.

Mason Chapel had 23 yards rushing for Troy on 10 attempts. He also had two receptions for 15 yards.
