Bobbie Reber Corette, 75

| April 11, 2017 5:18 PM

Roberta Marie Reber Corette died April 3, 2017, of natural causes with her beloved dog Ella by her side in Bigfork.

She was born in Butte to Joe and Terry Reber on Aug. 19, 1941, and raised in Helena. She graduated from Helena High and attended the University of Montana where she was a Kappa pledge.

She married RD Corette of Butte in 1960 and from that union they were blessed with two daughters, Lorrie and Christine. The marriage ended in 1974. She moved to Bozeman until 1980 where she was a successful real estate broker, avid skier and golfer.

Bobbie then spent 25 years in Indian Wells, California. There she continued her career in real estate, enjoyed desert living and being close to her parents Joe and Roz Reber. She adored having her girls for many holidays and spring breaks at her home. Special trips with them included New York City and the “Big Island.”

Bobbie then moved to Bigfork and loved her home and the wonderful community. She was best known for being seen with her Bichons — first Paris, then Ella. She was a beautiful knitter and took pride in making sweaters and hats for her grandchildren, new members of the family and newborn babies in the hospital. Her summer flowers on her deck were magnificent. She had impeccable taste in all things.

The highlight of her year was the annual family gathering at her brother Bryant’s (Nonie) home on Flathead Lake. She took interest in catching up with her immediate and extended family. She enjoyed watching the children behind the boat, in the water and was fascinated by their curious minds. She took delight in following them on Facebook throughout the year. The grandchildren always got a kick out of their Mimi.

She was most proud of her beautiful daughters and the mothers they became.

She was preceded in death by her precious Bichon Paris, parents Joe (Roz) and Terry Reber, brother Joe E. Reber, and sister Dianna Riley.

Survivors include her daughters, Lorrie Campbell of Butte, and Christine (Steve) Noyd of Missoula; grandchildren, Ian and Emily Campbell and Reed Noyd; siblings, Bryant (Nonie) Reber of Denver, and Susie (Tom) Orr of Missoula; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her much-loved dog Ella Bella.

She had deep faith in God and lived “one day at a time.”

We are forever grateful to her friends and neighbors Darlene, John, Angela and Dan.

At her request there will be a family celebration of life this summer.
