Donald Trump Jr. will campaign in the Flathead Valley on behalf of GOP congressional candidate Greg Gianforte on Friday, April 21, as part of a statewide tour announced by the Gianforte campaign to supporters in a Tuesday email.

Gianforte, a Bozeman high-tech businessman, is running against Democrat Rob Quist, a Creston singer-songwriter, and Libertarian Mark Wicks for the seat vacated by Ryan Zinke when he took office as President Donald Trump’s secretary of the Interior.

The president’s son will reportedly kick off the tour with a stop at Glacier Park International Airport scheduled for 1:30 p.m. April 21. Additional stops that day are scheduled in Hamilton at 3:45 and Billings at 7:30, with a final appearance in Bozeman the following night at 7:15.

“We’re excited to have his support and show our support for the Trump train,” Gianforte’s campaign manager, Shane Scanlon, said Wednesday. “It comes down to which candidate is going to work with Donald Trump as opposed to who is going to work against him.”

Cost to attend the fundraising event is $35 per person or $50 for a couple. Visit online to purchase tickets at www.trumpinmontana.com.

In the announcement, Gianforte said, “The Trump team knows how important this special election will be in advancing the conservative agenda the American people voted for last November. They know I will be a conservative voice in the House, while my opponent will be a rubberstamp for the radical Pelosi-obstructionist agenda we’ve already seen Democrats roll out in the first 100 days of Trump’s presidency.”

Absentee ballots will be mailed out April 28. The final day of voting is Thursday, May 25.
