Robert 'Bob' E. Rickard, 78

Robert “Bob” E. Rickard passed away April 12, 2017 at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. He was 78 years old.

Bob was born Dec. 24, 1938, in Kalispell and raised in Bigfork and the Swan Lake area. He started his career in Kalispell at the Forest Service, and later went on to work for school district No. 5 for 35 years.

Bob married Ellen Rickard on Jan. 23, 1976. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and boating with family and loved ones. He was a very gentle, kind and easy-going guy. He was committed and hardworking.

Bob is survived by his wife, Ellen of Kalispell, Brother Harry Rickard of Bozeman, his daughter Renae Perrine of Kalispell, and his son, Rodney Rickard of Silver Dale, Arizona, and grandchildren, Shelby Isles, Kyle Perrine and Makayla Mullenix, along with great-grandchildren, Randy Jr., and Bently, and his best friend Harold Broad.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bernice Rickard, his brother Jack Rickard, and his niece, Cindy Rickard.

His spirit will be missed dearly.

Services will be held 10 a.m. April 20 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Graveside prayer and burial will be at Lone Pine Cemetery, with a potluck reception. to follow at Family Life Christian Church on Foys Lake Road.
