Pup punished for eating poultry
A man was reported for hitting his dog. The man told Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies he was disciplining his dog for eating chicken bones. The dog appeared to be uninjured.
A group of kids were reported for throwing rocks at horses on Mountain View Drive.
A man reported being burglarized while he was in bed and his wife was in the shower. The man said he thought he heard someone knock on the door but never answered it. He believed someone entered the home anyway and took a cellphone, wallet and checkbook, all belonging to his wife.
A check was allegedly stolen out of a woman’s mailbox. The name on the check was rewritten and cashed.
A man reportedly forced his way into another man’s home and kicked the man in the head. The man allegedly fled the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival.
A golden brown dog was found on Commerce Street. The woman who found the dog offered to hold onto it until the owner could be found.
A vehicle was reported stolen from a property off U.S. 93 North. The owner requested officers respond to the scene to make a report. Upon arrival, Kalispell Police officers found the complaint was unfounded, as the man had actually driven his other vehicle to the location.
Two guns were allegedly stolen from a home on West Nicklaus Avenue.
A group of teens were reported for allowing their dog to run freely around Woodland Park, chasing geese and jumping into the pond. The reporting caller told authorities they were not trying to control the dog at all and got “mouthy” when he confronted them. The dog was reportedly not aggressive or causing harm to any birds.
A man allegedly approached an officer in the Wal-Mart parking lot, stating he had fallen and hit his head and was having “difficulty thinking.” The report was unclear as to which event led to the other.
A vehicle was reported stolen from First Avenue West.
The bathrooms at Kootenai Valley Head Start were reportedly vandalized and a teacher’s car window smashed, according to a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office report.
Seven gates at Swede Mountain were reportedly destroyed by an unknown suspect.
A man called law enforcement to report his vehicle had been “egged” somewhere in the Libby area.
A gun was reportedly stolen from a business on West Second Street in Libby.
A tri-colored Shi-Tzu was reported missing from its home on East Sixth Street.
A large brindle-coated dog was found on Nucleus Avenue and taken to the Columbia Falls Police Station.
Someone reportedly broke into a man’s truck while he was inside a restaurant eating, taking a backpack and a set of keys.
A bike was reportedly stolen from Martha Road.
