MISSOULA — The Glacier girls kept their bats rolling, putting together their first win streak of the season after beating Missoula Hellgate 13-7.

Emma Shew led the hit parade, going 2 for 5 at the plate with a home run and four RBIs. She also went the distance in the circle, the first time this season Glacier has let a pitcher stay in the length of the game.

“She stepped up and got it done for us tonight,” Glacier coach Andy Fors said.

Shew shut down Hellgate for the first two innings, helping the Wolfpack build a 6-0 lead. When the Knights answered with three runs in the third, Glacier scored seven more runs in the next three innings to put the game away.

“I think today was a good day for us,” Glacier coach Andy Fors said.

“The most positive thing today was to se the bats still hot. The girls put it in play all game long.”

Erin McHugh and Kali Gulick added three hits each in the win. Glacier had 17 total hits.
