Donald Vance Peterson, 66

Donald Vance Peterson passed from this earth on the 22nd day of April, 2017. He died from heart and arterial disease. His passing was peaceful.

Donald was born Feb. 22, 1951, in Neosho, Missouri, to Leonard M. Peterson and Cletys M. (Boehning) Peterson. His family moved to Montana in 1954 and he graduated from Flathead High School Class of 1969. He was a sexton at Glacier Memorial Gardens until his retirement and a member of a Masonic Lodge in Kalispell.

Don filled his days with small acts of kindness and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Cletys; by his niece, Angela Kay Lea; and his great-nephew, David Lea.

He is survived by his sisters, Kathleen Kay (Charles) Vernon and Carol Ann (Bill) Lea; his nieces, Kimberley Kay Vernon, Meredith Marie Lea, Alexandria Lynn Vernon, Alexis Louise Lea, Isabel Ann Lea and Blake Holly Matthews; and nephews, Charles “Nick” Ellis Vernon Jr., Christopher Erin (Windy) Vernon, Ross Albert (Jessica) Lea, Random Harrison Vernon, Incarnadine Fenn Vernon, Clayton Ross Lea and Jack Hunter Yori.

A brief service will be held for friends and family at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 27, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.
