Libby bats trounce Troy

TROY — Libby scored nine runs in the first inning and continued to pile on, topping Troy 27-3 in a Western B-C conference game on Tuesday.

The Loggers (9-2 overall, 6-0 Western B-C) followed up their big first inning with six more runs over the next two innings.

Troy (2-11, 2-2) scored in the bottom of the third inning on a three-run home run by Kylie Carr, but couldn’t muster another hit in the game. Libby then put the game even further out of reach with 10 runs in the next inning.

Sammee Bradeen was a perfect 4 for 4 from the plate with four RBIs and Madisen Monigold was 3 for 5 with two doubles and three RBIs.
