Kalispell’s historic Conrad Mansion begins its regular tour schedule next month, with tours running every hour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The summer season at the mansion begins May 17 and runs through Oct. 15. The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from May 17 to June 11, and adds weekly Tuesday tours to the schedule beginning June 13. Tour tickets are $15 for adults, $14 for seniors, $8 for students and $6 for children.

A new exhibit will open this season, titled “Retro Fashion: Everything is New Again.” Mannequins set up throughout the house will display retro fashion from 1850 through 1960, showcasing re-interpretations of the tunic, drop-waist dress, empire waist, peplum, bolero, bustle, full-skirted ball gown and leg of mutton sleeve, comparing them to illustrations of earlier and later versions.

THE MANSION’S special “Nooks and Crannies” tours will also return this summer, on the second Saturday of each month opening May 13.

These tours explore hidden spots throughout the mansion, and guests will see and hear over 100 facts and items that guides do not discuss during regular tours, and guests will be allowed into areas typically closed off to visitors.

The tours are limited to 10 people, begin at 9 a.m. and last for 90 minutes. Tickets for “Nooks and Crannies” tours are $28.

THE MISSION of the Conrad Mansion Museum is to preserve and exhibit the 1895 Charles Conrad Family Estate through public tours, educational programs and community events. Visit www.conradmansion.com or call 406-755-2166 for more information.
