Linnea Samuelson, 71

| August 5, 2017 6:13 PM

Linnea Samuelson was born July 11, 1945, to Carl and Maxine Samuelson in Vancouver, Washington.

Our beloved mother, wife, daughter, grandmother and sister, died on July 10, 2017, one day short of her 72nd birthday, after a long, valiant battle from cancer.

Her family moved to the Flathead in 1956 where she attended school. After graduation, she moved to Seattle to be near one sister. Ready for another adventure, she moved to Los Angeles to be near another sister. This is where she met and married Joe Culbert. From this union their two beautiful daughters were born.

Returning to the Flathead, Linnea was employed by First Interstate Bank. Tiring of our cold winters, she moved to Phoenix where she resided until her death.

Linnea is survived by her husband, Kenneth Van Epps; daughter, Kari (Jack) Buffington, and their children Kate and Marin, of Highland Ranch, Colorado; daughter, Crystal (Bryon) Donohoe, and their children Brynna and Cormac, of Golden, Colorado; mother, Maxine Von Wald, of Phoenix; sisters, Carla Kelly and Mary Jo Samuelson; and many nieces and nephews.

At her request, a private memorial service will be held at a later date in Hawaii.
