Dognapping do-gooder in Kalispell

Someone reportedly stole an injured Chihuahua out of a locked vehicle and took the dog to a veterinarian, according to Kalispell Police. When the owner confronted the suspect, the man refused to tell him which vet he had taken the dog to. The dog was later located and returned to its owner.

An intoxicated man in a cowboy hat was reported for allegedly asking young girls if they wanted to go home with him.

An intoxicated man allegedly refused to get out of someone’s car after the person gave him a ride to his apartment.

An intoxicated man reportedly passed out in a restaurant bathroom and started snoring until he was found and moved along by employees.

Someone reportedly found a stack of hay that had been set on fire in the middle of an intersection. The responding officer accidentally ran over the smoldering grass while trying to find it.

An air conditioner in a hotel room reportedly caught fire, melted and was smoking. The room had to be evacuated and the situation investigated.

A man and his daughters were reportedly removed from a bank while trying to sell kittens.

Someone reported seeing five “missiles” going across the sky. The reporting person said they were “obviously not planes,” according to Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies.

Someone reported a man for allegedly running an illegal business of buying and selling stolen guns without a license. The reporting person alleged the man was also busying and selling meth and other drugs out of the same business.

A man reported a gun and several tools stolen from his garage on Aussie Tree Lane.

Someone reported seeing a dog groomer abuse its clients. The groomer allegedly grabbed dogs by the throat and squeezed until the dogs behaved. The reporting person refused to sign a statement and could not give more detailed information.

A woman on a bicycle allegedly threatened to shoot a truck driver after he stopped behind her, allegedly unable to get around the cyclists who was riding in the middle of the road.

A firefighter reported someone had allegedly hacked his Facebook account and was asking people for money on behalf of the fire department.
