Joshua Logan Backer Jr., 26

Joshua Logan Backer Jr., 26, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on Nov. 24, 2017, in Greeley.

Josh was born on July 10, 1991, in Sacramento, California, to Joshua Logan Backer Sr.

Joshua graduated from Whitefish High School in 2009 where he played football, basketball and track. After high school, Josh had a brief tenure in the Army and entered the workforce.

Josh worked in the oilfields of North Dakota and Colorado.

Josh led an extremely active lifestyle. After graduation, he continued to play basketball, hunted, hiked, working out and his love for mixed martial arts/jiu jitsu became very prominent is his life.

Josh was a wonderful father who adored his daughter, Isabelle Marie. The pair were always off on some type of whirlwind adventure, wrestling around and finding fun in every situation. From their make-believe spa and tea parties to their secret language, their charisma and happiness was truly infectious.

Josh will forever be in our hearts. He is a beloved son, brother, father and uncle.

Josh is survived by his father; siblings, Megan and Shelby Backer; daughter, Isabelle Marie; and his three nieces.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
