David W. Branscome, 80

| December 4, 2017 7:13 PM

David W. Branscome, 80, son of Isaac and Martha Branscome, was born July 1937 on his grandmother’s homestead in Eureka. David’s siblings were Dorothy, Harbert, Berdett, Joan, Adeline, Sharon, Jimmy and Shirley.

On Aug. 23, 1958, he married Georgia Wagner.

David worked in the logging and construction industry in Montana, Washington and Alaska. After he retired they spent winters traveling to Hawaii, Mexico and Arizona.

David was an avid hunter. Every hunting season he would be looking for game and spending time with his buddies, one season hunting with a walker after hip surgery.

All who knew him say he was loving, kind, and generous, with a crazy sense of humor. He always said “all his stories had a little facts in them.” He was worthy of respect.

David is survived by his wife, Georgia, of 59 years; children, David Branscome and Donna, Penny Bravo and Gary, and Teri Kelly and Tim; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Aemisegger and Howard, and sister Sharon Mason; brother-in-law Robert Wagner and Judy; also many nieces, nephews and friends.

Parkinson’s robbed his body and dementia his mind but nothing could take away his love of God and David “left his earthly home” Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, 2017, “to be at home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

The family is deeply thankful for the loving care David received from all the staff at Heritage Place.

A time to honor David will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Nazarene church, located at 1295 Whitefish Stage Road. His Pastor and friend the Rev. Ed Koteskey will be officiating. Friends are encouraged to visit the website at www.buffalohillfh.com to leave notes of condolence for the family. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
