Glacier's Williams named to All-Northwest team
Glacier senior Cadie Williams garnered girls soccer Player of the Year honors in the Western AA division this season, but her accolades are no longer confined to just the division or even the state.
Williams was one of 11 players selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-Northwest Region team after leading the Wolfpack to the Class AA state tournament. She was the only athlete from Montana selected to the team.
An MSU-Billings commit, Williams finished off her prep soccer career with a bang in 2017, recording 33 goals and 14 assists. She totaled 58 goals and 31 assists over her four years as a starter for the Wolfpack and was named to the all-state team her junior and senior years.
Williams is third all-time in the state for most goals scored in a single game after netting six against Missoula Sentinel this season. She also had four assists in a single game in 2016, which is tied for most all-time.
“She set the bar high for Glacier Wolfpack soccer,” Glacier coach Brenden Byrd told the Daily Inter Lake in November. “Catie put us in the direction that we needed to go.”
