Man allegedly impersonates officer

According to the Whitefish Police Department, a man called a dental office claiming to be a police officer and asked to talk to a doctor. Later a man claiming to be the same officer called a woman and said she missed court dates and owed fines, and that she could pay him. When she challenged the caller, he hung up.

Something flew out of a vehicle in front of a driver and smashed the windshield. Law enforcement investigated and suspected rocks were thrown up from a tire.

A Missoula resident said they had checks that were cashed illegally in Kalispell.
