The Lake County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of two women involved in the high-speed pursuit allegedly involving shots fired at officers.

The driver of the vehicle is identified as Alta Littlelight-Threefingers, 34, of Crow Agency. She is being booked on charges of criminal endangerment and assault with a weapon.

The passenger is identified as 27-year-old Roishell St. Dennis. She is facing assault with a weapon and attempted deliberate homicide charges.

According to the sheriff’s report, St. Dennis is on felony probation out of Billings on charges of robbery and assault with a weapon, but has a Missoula address.

Law enforcement officers determined the vehicle involved in the pursuit was stolen from Billings on Nov. 14.

The pursuit started yesterday at about 11:30 a.m. in a Missoula neighborhood when an officer reportedly attempted to pull over Littlelight-Threefingers for a violation. The suspects allegedly fled north into Lake County on U.S. 93 when Missoula officials terminated the pursuit.

A tribal officer started pursuing the vehicle shortly thereafter, and was followed by additional Tribal, St. Ignatius, and Lake County Sheriff personnel.

The pursuit led officers to gravel side roads east of the St. Ignatius area when St. Dennis allegedly brandished a gun and fired shots at officers. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office reports the driver, Littlelight-Threefingers, also presented a firearm during the pursuit.

Law enforcement returned shots when the vehicle abruptly stopped east of Allard Road on Eagle Pass Trail, according to the press release. This reportedly prompted the women to surrender and be taken into custody. No one was injured in the incident.

St. Dennis is facing charges of assault with a weapon and attempted deliberate homicide.

The women are being held at the Lake County jail.
