Dude, where's my bike?

An individual called the Whitefish Police Department to report someone trespassing in a commercial space and using the shower and pool area. The man had allegedly done this before so the caller stole his bike while he was in the shower and took a picture of him as he left. By the time police arrived he had left on foot.

One person called because they had a friend stay the night last night. The friend was reportedly an alcoholic and the following day, was allegedly proving unruly and rude to the point they were no longer welcome. The caller said they wanted police to come without their sirens on and get the person out so they could either be checked out at the hospital or “sleep it off at drunk tank.”

A woman called to report her boyfriend got beat up outside a bar and had a broken jaw so he couldn’t really talk. She wanted to see if the bar had a security tape that would reveal the alleged assault.

Someone reported a transient living between their house and the office building next door. There were suitcases, a blanket and a backpack. When police arrived they found no transient, and discovered the items belonged to someone who was not living between the houses, but used to live nearby. They let the property owner know he could chuck them in the trash.

The owner of a 20-foot wagon reported his wagon missing and said he had gotten permission from train station employees the night before to park it there overnight. He wanted to know if the city had towed it.

Someone found a German Shepherd named Hunter. Later, the dog’s owner called in and the two were happily reunited.
