Intruder arrested after entering woman's bedroom
According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, a woman had a panic attack over the phone with dispatch after an intruder came into her bedroom near Bigfork. She said she screamed when she saw the man and he left. Law enforcement later made an arrest.
A work crew noticed Christmas cards opened and left on the side of the road.
A van on the side of the highway had a sign on it that read “stranded needs help.” When law enforcement talked to the van’s driver she said she ran out of gas and would try to move along. Officers noted the woman had an aggressive German shepherd.
A neighbor boy reportedly shot a BB into a house window.
A caller requested a welfare check on themselves regarding why they were slurring their speech.
Dispatch had a hard time understanding a man but were able locate him at a lodge near Hungry Horse. When police talked to him he said “they” are threatening to throw him in the snow.
Someone got a text from an unknown number. The text reportedly said someone had just stolen contraband and wanted to meet behind a movie store.
Litter was coming out of the back of an old black pickup. The reporting party thought the truck might be on its way to the dump.
A man said his father has Alzheimer’s and he continues to drive even though his license has been revoked. He said a few weeks ago his father drove all the way to Idaho and didn’t know where he was or how he got there. He asked for advice how to keep his father from driving.
The host of a sledding and bonfire party wanted to tell officers they would be containing and watching their fire just in case anyone reported it.
A passerby reported a horse loose on Highway 83.
According to the Columbia Falls Police Department, a resident could see a person wearing all black trying to get into a window on a house across the street. The man looked around and walked over to another window. The man was locked out of his house.
According to the Kalispell Police Department, an employee at a fast food restaurant noticed a man sleeping in the snow. She asked him if he needed help and he reportedly mumbled a few words and declined.
A vehicle was seen driving on the wrong side of the road.
A 6-year-old dropped heavy glass on his foot and his mother thought he might have broken his toe.
A caller’s stolen tablet was turned into police after someone reportedly found it in a snowbank.
A man in a bathroom was “practically bathing himself.” The reporting party said the man in the bathroom had no shoes and the sink was full of water. An employee reportedly asked the man to leave and he refused. He was later trespassed from the location.
A caller said their “baby momma” broke the parenting plan because he was supposed to have his child for the holiday and he hadn’t heard from his ex.
A caller was worried about two dogs left inside a car.
