Cops respond to clogged toilets, stolen cash
A Whitefish business employee called Flathead County Sheriff’s Office after someone allegedly entered the facility, clogged the toilets and stole employees’ tip money.
A Columbia Falls resident allegedly used his car to block a plow driver because he did “not want snow thrown into his driveway.” The men allegedly separated after yelling at each other, though the vehicle remained blocking the plow according to dispatch.
A woman told officers she thought it was a case of road rage when a man allegedly chased her down and “beat her windows out.”
A resident on Rainbow Drive in Columbia Falls said two dogs came into her backyard and growled at her daughter. She said the dogs on the loose were an ongoing issue in her neighborhood.
An out-of-state worried boyfriend called Whitefish Police when he hadn’t heard from his girlfriend since she had headed to the Whitefish Winter Carnival festivities the night before. He called back to say she did eventually call him.
Dispatch notified the Public Works Department when a driver reported that downtown streets were “very icy.” The dispatched noted “all the roads in the city are icy due to the rain.”
A man called Kalispell Police and said he had been intoxicated the night before and would like to thank the officers for “saving his life last night and taking him home.”
A man who said he was living in his van called 911 after a snow plow allegedly pushed large piles of snow to the front and back of his vehicle, moving the vehicle before blocking him in place. The van owner asked the person with the plow why he blocked him in, and the person allegedly said it was because his van wasn’t supposed to be there.
A woman asked officers to inform a neighbor that their “parking issue is to be handled through (their) rental agency, not through verbal confrontation.” Officer made the requested call.
Officers gave a man a citation after someone driving on East Idaho Street reported the man was walking down the middle of the road and broke a car mirror with punch.
A resident on South Woodland Drive asked officers to let a neighbor know she would pursue charges on her next complaint if they didn’t stop their black lab from barking.
An employee of a Kalispell business called for help when two men and a female allegedly got into a fight in the building’s doorway. The dispatcher noted the caller “has literally no other information.”
A Kalispell resident told officers someone allegedly “tried to beat down” the door. The caller said they caught an unknown person wearing a hood “wrenching” on the door knob and said he waited 20 minutes to call police to make sure it wasn’t his roommate.
