One of a woman’s three cats was reported missing after her neighbor allegedly threatened to kill them, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

A lover’s quarrel turned violent when a woman’s husband allegedly came at her with a hatchet. The husband denied the allegations, claiming nothing had happened, and his wife was having a mental breakdown. The man said he wanted a restraining order.

Ongoing issues with a homeowners association allegedly resulted in a line being spray painted on the boundary between the yards of two neighbors. The man who was reported for drawing the line allegedly said he intentionally did it to “be a smart [expletive].”

A man armed with pepper-spray and a saw allegedly staked out a locked bathroom in his home after discovering a jar of change missing, the bathroom door locked and fearing someone was in his house. The man reported his door had been busted two nights before, and his landlord had allegedly replaced it that day while he was out. The man allegedly said he would “take them down” if anyone exited the bathroom before authorities arrived. Responding officers arrived to find the man had changed his mind and was on the porch, guarding the door with the saw and pepper-spray still in hand. Officers found no trace of anyone in the house.

Mailboxes were reportedly robbed by a man in a red stocking hat in a gray car. Someone reported the man crawled out of the passenger window of the car, stole $500 worth of checks from her mailbox and put the flag down before continuing on to take her neighbors’ mail.

Someone reported five or six men allegedly showed up at his house in two trucks and started banging on his door, yelling that they “would not know next time they showed up.” The man allegedly had no idea who the men were.
