Here are some of Northwest Montana’s best spots
KALISPELL
Dry Bridge Park
Woodland Avenue near 11th Street East
Nicknamed “The Gully,” Dry Bridge Park is a favorite of locals, tucked away in east Kalispell. Added perk: Sledders can ride to the bottom from multiple sides.
Lawrence Park
1105 N. Main St.
Adjacent to Buffalo Hill Golf Club, Lawrence Park has all the right angles for a speedy ride.
Foys Lake Road, just south of Foys Lake
You might have to hike a bit to get there, but there is a specially designated sledding hill in the northeast corner of this sprawling park.
WHITEFISH
Great Northern Veterans Peace Park
Ramsey Avenue, just east of golf course
Most Whitefish residents looking for some serious sledding find this park’s hill, right next to a cemetery.
Riverside Park
Off Baker Avenue
You won’t find speeds like other parks, but for the littlest sledders this is perfect.
COLUMBIA FALLS
Schoenberg Hill
Just north of the end of Nucleus Avenue
All you need to know is this one’s nickname: “Killer Hill.”
