Intoxicated man 'stumbles' downtown

Officers with the Whitefish Police Departmet were unable to located an intoxicated pedestrian who was reporteldy seen on Highway 93 South. A local business manager called to report the man after he had allegedly walked into the business carrying a bottle of alcohol. When asked to leave, the man reportedly chugged the entire bottle before “stumbling” toward downtown.

A caller reported that she was receiving threats online from an unknown party. The woman was counseled on social media safety by officers and advised to contact law enforcement if she needed further assistance.

A man on Riverside Avenue reported that someone was allegedly throwing garbage in the garbage can at his business. The caller said he would call back with video surveillance of the incident.

Officer’s confiscated a pair of keys after finding a man passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle on Central Avenue.

A caller on Ninth Avenue West in Columbia Falls reported that they were unable to receive mail due to a vehicle that was blocking the mailbox. Officers with the Columbia Falls Police Department contacted the owner of the vehicle and asked that they move it.

A female pug was taken to the animal shelter after a caller reportedly found it on Beth Road. The dog did not have a collar or tags, and officers were unable to locate the owner.

A local school principal called to report a theft in progress. The stolen property was recovered, with minor damage to a cellphone case.

A caller on Appleway Drive reported that there was a drunk man on her property who was refusing to leave. The caller told the Kalispell Police Department that the man was banging on the door and yelling. He then allegedly broke into the caller’s house.

A caller reported that their vehicle had been hit by another car while parked behind a business on West Idaho Street. The other vehicle drove without leaving any information.
