John Endsley, 73

John “Little John” Endsley was “called to Our Lord” on Feb. 15, 2017.

John is survived by his wife Carol Endsley of Bigfork, daughters Susanne (Paul) Steele of Ashland, Oregon, Carole Endsley of Phoenix, Oregon, and Charlene (Scott) Lanktree of Kalispell, six grandchildren Christianne Steele, Nathan Steele, Lauranna Steele of Ashland, Oregon, Daniel Waggoner and Bryanna Teeters of Phoenix, Oregon, John Endsley Jr. and great-grandson Leo of Columbia Falls as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents Harry Merel “Zeke” and Emma Sue Endsley. grandson David Steele, brothers Marvin, Robert and Wayne Endsley, sisters Barbara Miller, Carolyn Gregg, Phyllis Amerson and Wilma Jean McCor-mick.

John served in the United States Navy in the fleet for three years and then the Navy Seabees as heavy equipment operator and mechanic. He retired from the Navy in October 1982.

John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many. He loved fishing and camping. He loved doing things with the grandchildren and great-grandchild while visiting with them.

John will be missed dearly by all who knew him and loved him. There will be a memorial Mass held for John 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at St. John Paul II Catholic Church in Bigfork.
