Marion D. Howe, 82

Marion D. Howe, aka James Virgil Howe, was born June 5, 1934.

He passed away in his home surrounded by his loved ones Feb. 19, 2017, at the age of 82 from natural causes.

He was longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War followed by a lifetime career as a residential electrician. He had a love for fishing and was very well known for his talents.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Loretta Jean Howe and his daughter, Susan Marie Howe.

He is survived and very much loved by his sons James Howe, Lorne Howe, Steve Howe, Roland Howe and Darrell Howe as well as his daughters Jean Griffin and Dianna Hilton. He is also survived and loved by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who really loved his endless supply of stories. He was loved and admired by all that knew him. He now joins his wife, daughter and siblings in the embracing arms of our Lord.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The address is 1780 Talbot Road, Columbia Falls. Burial with military honors will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery. A potluck luncheon will follow the burial at the family home at 225 Bison Hollow Road, Columbia Falls.
