Eileen M. Morey, 85

Eileen M. Morey, 85, of Libby, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at home. She was with family and friends and will be missed for a lifetime.

Eileen was born on Nov. 30, 1931, in Bottiknow, North Dakota, to Paul and Lillian Kjos.

She married Jim Morey on Jan. 24, 1952, in Spokane, Washington. They moved to Libby in 1961 and opened K & M body shop. They ran a very successful business for many years. Eileen had a background in insurance and book keeping, her contribution to the body shop was immeasurable.

Eileen enjoyed gardening, crocheting and football. In her younger years she enjoyed snowmobiling with her best friends Frank and Linda Pival. Friday dinner with her girl friends was the highlight of her week. She told stories all week about those dinners.

Eileen was a member of Christ Lutheran Church: she taught Sunday school when she was younger. The church and its members were a source of strength and comfort to her. She was a member of Jaycee’s and sponsored Junior Miss pageants. Eileen was always one to help out or take on a leadership position to get something done.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother she took great and loving care of her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim and many family members and friends.

She is survived by her daughters Kathy and Karen. Her daughters in love Terri, Paula, Barbara and Peggy. Her grandchildren Jessica and Brett, Gina and Brady and her Grandson Tony. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren Cole, Finley and Cameron were the light of her life. Her two dogs Penny and Russell will miss her greatly. Eileen was a mentor and friend to many. Eileen was very loved and she lived a great life

A celebration of her life will be held in the spring at a later date. The family asks that memorial donations be sent to Kootenai Pets for Life, P.O. Box 1454, Libby, MT. 59923.
