Doris May Heuscher Ingram, 85

Doris May Heuscher Ingram, 85, passed away peacefully Dec. 29, 2016.

She was born May 20, 1931, at the family home in Creston to Jakob and Elsie (Ruckdashel) Heuscher. Doris attended Flathead County Schools, graduating from Flathead County High School in 1949.

She married Raymond Ingram May 15, 1949, in Kalispell. Shortly after, they moved to Swan Lake. She enjoyed raising their four children while enjoying bowling, gardening, sewing, camping, fishing and any chance to have the family get together.

She attended as many of her children’s, grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sporting events as possible.

She really cherished her time working at Eva Gates Preserves.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; parents; sisters, Luella, June and Shirley; brothers, Lester, Vernon, Leslie, Stanley, Allan and Ronald; daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Willie Ward; and great-grandson, Wyatt Smith.

She is survived by sons, Les and Debbie of Bigfork, and Doug and Rhonda of Ogden, Utah; and daughter, Elaine, of Kalispell; her beloved 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; also sisters-in-law, Evelyn Heuscher, Lavine Heuscher and Ester Ingram; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial luncheon will be held from noon to 4 p.m. July 15 at the Luckow’s Lake House at Swan Lake.
