A 21-acre residential subdivision with Flathead River frontage near Bigfork is the focus of a public hearing July 12 before the Flathead County Planning Board.

Justin and Annetta Bean are proposing the three lot-development at 1390 Riverside Road that would be served by individual water wells and septic systems. The property has been used for farmland in recent years. Lot sizes would range from 5 to 11.6 acres. The western boundary of the property is the Flathead River, and the property contains 100-year floodplain acreage.

The board will also hold public hearings on two other proposals that are both zone-change requests.

Cliff and Tawnya Bell are asking to change the zoning on 26.1 acres in the Schroeder Ridge Zoning District from suburban agricultural with a 10-acre minimum lot (SAG-10) to suburban agricultural with a 5-acre minimum lot size (SAG-5). The property is located at 3212 Whitefish Stage Road.

Nathan and Autumn McLean are asking for a zone change on 10.6 acres in the U.S. 93 North Zoning District and Birch Grove Zoning District, from SAG-10 to SAG-5. The property is located at 69 Autumn Glory Way near Kalispell.

The board will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, in the second-floor conference room of the South Campus Building, 40 11th St. W., Suite 200, in Kalispell.
