A pair of Kalispell men allegedly robbed a North Kalispell business and later fled from an attempted traffic stop before being apprehended south of town Friday night.

According to a press release from the Kalispell Police Department, at approximately 8 p.m. an officer observed a vehicle driving recklessly southbound on U.S. 93 near Hutton Ranch Road. When the vehicle took off from an attempted traffic stop, Kalispell Police began a pursuit that allegedly included the car driving the wrong way on an entrance ramp to the U.S. 93 bypass and driving on the bike/pedestrian path on the north end of the bypass. The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office joined the pursuit south of Kalispell and a deputy was able to utilize a stop stick to bring the car to a halt.

During the course of the pursuit, the fleeing vehicle was matched to the description of a car that had been involved in an alleged armed theft from a business in North Kalispell.

The driver of the car, 56-year-old David Warrant of Kalispell, and his passenger, 31-year-old Joshua Buck, also of Kalispell, were both arrested and taken to the Flathead County Detention Center. Warrant has been charged with criminal endangerment, assault with a weapon and theft. Buck is charged with assault with a weapon, theft and a parole violation.
