- NSC Montana is offering a speed and agility soccer camp for youth ages 10-18 Monday, July 24; Wednesday, July 26; July 31 and Aug. 2, 7 and 9. The first half of each 90-minute training session will focus on developing speed, strength, and coordination in both feet and on both sides of the body while the second half of the training will work on developing a specific soccer technique. - Children are invited to discover the magic of mixtures by blending materials to create fantastic fusion at ImagineIF Kalispell from 3 to 4 p.m. Aug 1-2.

- New student enrollment in Evergreen School District begins Wednesday, Aug. 2. Register at the district administration building, 18 West Evergreen Dr., in room A 133. A copy of a child’s birth certificate, immunization record and proof of household address must be presented at time of registration. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. - Teens are invited to turn his or her bright idea into art by using electric paint, which works like regular water-based paint except it conducts electricity from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 3 at ImagineIF Kalispell. Registration is required by visiting imagineiflibraries.eventbrite.com. Limited to 15 participants.

- Children are invited to attend a Speed Scene workshop at ImagineIF Bigfork from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Aug 3. Participants will spend “a day at the races,” exploring terrain and angles to see what affects speed.

- Free breakfasts and lunches will be served to children 18 and under at Polson Middle School on weekdays through Aug. 4. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 10 a.m. and lunch 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of USDA Summer Food Service Program.

- Join ImagineIF Libraries and Columbia Falls Community Art Center to learn how fun, easy and accessible art can be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 5 at The Coop in Columbia Falls. With easy DIY sketchbooks, an ephemeral painting station, and local artists offering their work on loan there is something for everyone.

Explore water with Missoula’s spectrUM Discovery Area educators from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 9 at ImagineIF Kalispell and from 3 to 5 p.m. at ImagineIF Columbia Falls. Exhibits will include an erosion table, water bugs and microscopes, a virtual reality sandbox and more.

- Join Rebecca Schaffer of Viscosity Theater to learn, collaborate and compose a performance from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Aug. 17 in the ImagineIF Kalispell meeting room. Participants head to town to put on the performance at 6:30 p.m. during Thursday!Fest. No experience is necessary. For ages 9 and up and adults are particularly encouraged to participate.

- Free breakfasts and lunches will be served to children 18 and under in Kalispell on weekdays through Aug. 18 at Woodland Park, and Elrod Elementary. Breakfast is from 8:30 to 9 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch will also be served at Gateway Community Center. The free meals are part of the USDA Summer Food Service Program and no registration is required.

- Aug. 18 is the deadline to register to attend an orchestra boot camp scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 21-25 at the Resound! School of Music and Theatre, 213 Main St. in Kalispell. Cost is $100. The week will conclude with an informal performance and picnic. For more information call 758-7717.

- Aug. 20 is the last day to swim at Woodland Park for the summer season.

- Join an expert team of survivalists at Zombie Survival Camp from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 21-23 at Woodland Park Camp Center. Children ages 7 to 13 will learn the skills and techniques to survive a zombie outbreak. Cost is $126. Children will learn about water purification, DNA experiments, smokeless fire, tracking, orienteering and how to build his or her own bow and arrow. For more information call 758-7848.

- Aug. 30 is the first day of school for students in Kalispell Public Schools.

- Sept. 15 is the deadline to register for Little Dribblers Basketball. This non-competitive introduction to basketball is for children in kindergarten, first and second grades. The program will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays, Sept. 30 through Nov. 4 at Edgerton Elementary. Cost is $37. For more information call 758-7717.

Sept. 22 is the deadline to register for Little Squirts Basketball program for ages 4 to 5. This is a non-competitive introduction to basketball skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting. The program will be held between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, Oct. 7-11 at Hedges Elementary. Cost is $37. For more information call 758-7848.

- An NFL Punt, Pass and Kick football skills competition is set from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at Kalispell Youth Sports Complex. This free event is for ages 6 to 15. For more information cal 758-7848.

- A “treecycle ride” is set from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 1. Participants should meet at the Museum at Central School. People who are unable to ride may follow the tour by car to learn about notable trees around Kalispell.

Oct. 13 is the deadline to register for Skip Out Camp organized by Kalispell Parks and Recreation. For ages 5 to 13. Camp will be held from 7:30 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 19-20 at Elrod Elementary. Cost is $30 per day. For more information call 758-7975.

- The Flathead 4-H Foundation is offering people or businesses the opportunity to purchase an engraved brick that will be placed in a walkway leading to the Flathead County Fairgrounds grandstand building.
