Couch surfer booted from front porch

A woman reportedly awoke to find a strange man sleeping on her couch. The man allegedly sat on her front porch while she called Whitefish Police. The man allegedly removed a screen from a window in order to gain entry into the house. The woman decline to press charges against her uninvited guest but asked officers to remove him from her property.

Someone reportedly found a 10-speed bike with a child trailer attached hidden in some bushes. The reporting person described also smelling a foul odor in the area but was unable to locate the source.

A resident of Railway Street reported a man for fence-hopping through several yards in the neighborhood. The person allegedly caught the same man earlier that day attempting to steal a bike.

Someone went to the Columbia Falls Police station to retrieve some golf balls he had reportedly left at a car wash.

A resident of Ridgewood Drive reported to Flathead County Sheriff’s Office the theft of a large sum of cash from her home.

A caller found a bike, tent, shoes, makeup bag and photos of a teenage girl scattered around a field near a bike path. It seemed suspicious.

Report of a driver in a van in Whitefish who allegedly asked a young girl leading questions, such as “Did you go swimming today?” and “Do you have a little sister behind you?”

A caller said he was punched in the face at a hair salon in Kalispell. Neither party wanted to press charges.

A caller reported a pickup with an uncovered load headed to the dump in Lincoln County. Trash was flying everywhere.
