Drive-by shooter aims for 'take-out'
An unidentified shooter was reportedly seen firing a gun at animals from his vehicle while driving on the walking path down South View Drive, according to Kalispell Police.
A woman reported being bitten by an unwanted cat that somehow gained access to her home and was in no hurry to leave. The cat was taken to the local shelter.
A dog locked in a car on Timberwolf Parkway decided his owner had been gone long enough and stood on the car horn to summon him back.
A downed power line reportedly fell on the roof of a business on Airport Road. The live wire sparked and ignited, producing flames on the roof that were extinguished before firefighters could be dispatched to the scene. No one was injured, no serious damage done and the power line was repaired.
Three teens were allegedly seen walking down West Ninth Street when a man reportedly came up behind one of the boys, put his hand on his neck and ushered the boy into a vehicle. The two teens remaining told Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies they did not know whether the man was the boy’s father or not.
A group of cattle was allegedly found running loose on Winchester Drive.
A man, dressed only in his boxers, was allegedly seen blocking traffic and “swinging” at cars as they passed on Vanderwood and Conifer Drive.
After a man allegedly jumped off the Kootenai River Bridge, a rescue effort was launched to try to save the man. The reporting person said the man came out of the water unharmed before the search and rescue team could arrive. The man said he just wanted to cool off.
Someone allegedly kicked in the door of the Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce. According to a Columbia Falls Police report, the reporting persons were unsure whether anything was taken during the break-in but several items had been vandalized.
A woman reported her bike stolen and stated she later found a kid riding the bike down Fourth Avenue West. When she confronted him, she said the boy told her he had traded for the bike.
