Ralph Nolan Freeman, 92

Ralph Nolan Freeman, a longtime resident of Kalispell, passed away at home on April 8, 2017.

He was born in Metaline Falls, Washington, Jan. 10, 1925.

He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Ralph was a pleasant and kind man, loved by all who met him. He enjoyed playing pinochle and cribbage. He volunteered to teach children cribbage in the Kalispell schools, and served as a girls’ softball coach. He worked as a lumber grader, retiring from the business at age 80. He moved to Maricopa, Arizona, late in 2014.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Mary Freeman, of Maricopa; three children, Valerie Miller, David Freeman and Joleen Olson; two stepdaughters, Kelli Wilson and Karen Wanjico; and numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three children, Timothy Freeman, Tamara Novotny and Ralph “Nolan” Freeman Jr., and was followed in death by his son Melvin Freeman.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. on June 10 in the basement of Central Christian Church, 248 Second Ave. E., Kalispell, with graveside services at 10 a.m. on June 12 at Glacier Memorial Gardens, 2659 U.S. Hwy 93 N., Kalispell.
