Class B North all-stars rout South, 59-20
Eight local football players competed for the North team in the Class B football all-star game Friday night at Rocky Mountain College’s Herb Klindt Field.
Eureka’s Cannan Smith and Bigfork’s Matt Farrier helped the North to a resounding 59-20 victory over the South with a pair of scores on the ground.
With his team protecting a 21-14 halftime lead, Smith shook off several tackles on his way to a 39-yard touchdown run just a minute and 42 seconds into the third quarter.
Farrier added a touchdown of his own at the beginning of the fourth quarter with a six-yard rush, as the North outscored the South 38-6 in the second half.
The North now has a 15-4 lead over the South in the all-time series.
