School's out; summer starts with a bang
A caller near Eighth Avenue West reported that she heard gunshots coming from several doors down. The gunshots turned out to be fireworks, according to the Kalispell Police Department.
A man reportedly pulled up to another vehicle, screamed at the driver and pushed his vehicle into the driver’s lane. The caller reported that the man had been yelling and screaming profanities at her while she was waiting for a vehicle in front of her to turn near First Avenue East North and East Montana Street.
An intoxicated male transient was allegedly upsetting customers at a business on Third Avenue East North and urinated on the building before “staggering all over the place” walking down East Idaho Street.
A caller requested an extra patrol on Seventh Avenue West where a man was allegedly walking around knocking on doors. She stated she didn’t want him “going into people’s houses” and that he didn’t appear do be doing anything wrong but that he didn’t seem “all there.”
A man reportedly pulled into a parking lot while drinking a beer, parked in front of a fire hydrant and went into a store on Hutton Ranch Road. The caller stated that three kids were also in the vehicle.
A caller on U.S. 93 North reported that someone had keyed her car while she was in a store. The caller said she suspected it was possibly another driver who had yelled obscenities.
A vehicle was reportedly “tailgating and speeding” down Hutton Ranch Road. The caller spoke with the driver, who allegedly told her to “F” off. Officers were unable to locate the reckless driver.
A caller on Ashley Drive reported that an “old friend” was threatening to throw a rock through his window. The man was allegedly carring a “good-sized” rock.
A caller on Martha Road told Columbia Falls Police she was suspicious of a man who claimed to be with a television company. The caller said the man was “very persisitent” and wanted her to give him her credit card information. Officers determined that the sales call was legitimate and no crime had occurred.
