Legion Baseball Siblerud, Lakers shut out Northstars

SPOKANE — Logan Siblerud held the Spokane Northstars to a single in seven innings of mound duty and leadoff hitter Randy Stultz went 2 for 3 and scored three times Sunday as the Kalispell Lakers AA blanked the Spokane Northstars 8-0 on the final day of the Spokane Expos Bash.
Siblerud struck out four batters and walked two in his AA debut.
Kalispell finished with a 3-0 mark at the Bash and has won 13 straight since losing to the Northstars 7-6 back on May 20th in the first day of the Canadian Days Tournament at Griffin Field.
The Lakers had 10 hits in this one. Haydn Schlepp led the attack, going 3 for 4, scoring twice and driving in two runs. Eric Seaman also had two hits. Seaman, Stultz and Schlepp all doubled once.
Kalispell scored in every inning but the second and fourth.
The Lakers return to league play with a doubleheader on Tuesday at the Billings Scarlets. The first game begins at 1 p.m.

HELENA — Coby Clark-Dickenson pitched a 2-hitter and went 2 for 3 at the plate with two RBIs as the Glacier Twins A blanked the Bozeman Bucks A on the final day of the Cloninger Classic.
Clark-Dickenson struck out four batters and walked none.
“He pitched well on short rest (he went three innings on Saturday),” Glacier coach Scott Murray said. “His change-up was fantastic. He didn’t have a whole lot left in the tank, but he was effective.”
Clark-Dickenson threw 59 pitches, 34 of those were strikes, in five innings.
The Twins banged out 14 hits. Tom Hellwig was 3 for 3 and drove in two runners.
Ryan Veneman, 2 for 3, scored twice as did Nathan Hader. Dan Seymour and Tyler Murphy were both 2 for 3 for the Twins.
Gunner Marsh doubled and Veneman tripled.
Glacier outhit Bozeman 14-2.
“What I was really pleased with was our offense,” Murray said. “We outscored our (tournament) opponents 43-5. It’s coming together.”
The Twins did not commit an error in the finale.
“James Sampson-Keck had a tremendous defensive tournament,” Murray said of his center fielder.
“He was on his game. He made some great diving catches.”
Glacier, now 8-8 overall, was 4-0 in tournament play. Glacier has a league doubleheader on Wednesday at Eureka versus the Kootanai Valley Rangers. The first game starts at 4 p.m.
