Outlaws rough up Loggers

THREE FORKS — Gallatin Valley scored three runs in the second inning to build up enough of a lead to support pitcher Ryan Murphy in an 8-1 win over Libby on Wednesday.

Libby put together six hits but could only muster one run in the game.

Seth Bateman was 2 for 3 with an RBI to lead the Loggers.

Gallatin Valley went up 3-0 in the second inning and after surrendering a run in the top of the third scored twice in the bottom of the inning to go ahead 5-1. The Outlaws scored three runs in their final two innings to close out the win.

Murphy allowed just three hits and Derik Defrance kept the Loggers scoreless for the finall three innings.
