Clark Cameron Vogt, 56

Clark Cameron Vogt, 56, passed away April 23, 2017, at his home due to multiple myeloma cancer.

He was born Nov. 25, 1960, in Lemmon, South Dakota, and raised in South Dakota and Montana.

Clark graduated from Flathead High School in 1979, then attended Carroll College for two years where he played football. He attended Montana State University for two years, majoring in art and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in art history. He later received a bachelor’s degree in teaching from the University of Montana.

Clark was a substitute teacher for School District 5, but was not able to fulfill his dream of being a full-time teacher due to debilitating back issues that began in his 20s. He taught art in Bigfork and the Montana Academy. He also worked for Kalispell Neon Signs, Paul Schafer, and Moose’s Saloon.

Clark had a true appreciation for the outdoors and wildlife. His hobbies and interests included big game and bird hunting, fishing hiking and painting.

Clark always had a great attitude. He never complained, no matter how much pain he was in.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his father Bill Vogt.

Clark is survived by his mother, Jean Vogt; brother and sisters, Kim and Mick Blodnick of Kalispell, Steve and Tina Vogt of Sheridan, Wyoming, and Rob Vogt of Kalispell; a niece, Beth, and Casey Herron; and nephew, Freddie Blodnick.

Clark wanted to thank Dr. Ryan Roop and his staff. He also wanted to thank the many doctors that helped him during the past 30 years.

Per his wishes, Clark was cremated and no services are planned.
