Child takes a field trip, causes concern

A caller reported that an unattended child had walked into her office from a daycare nearby. She was concerned that the daycare “had no idea the child was missing” and “did not seem to care” that the child had left without their knowledge, according to Columbia Falls Police Department.

Some minors allegedly stole from a store on Ninth Street West. The manager requested on officer to the scene but did not want to press charges.

An extra patrol was requested to “scatter some tweakers” by a business on Ninth Street West.

A stack of mail was found outside a business on Ninth Street West.

After reportedly yelling at each across a parking lot, two parties on Nucleus Avenue were counseled and separated after a verbal disturbance.

A caller told Whitefish Police that a girl was reportedly dangling her feet over the side of the parking garage on East Second Street. Officers were unable to locate the girl but said they would keep an eye out.

A woman on Wisconsin Avenue came home to find blood on the couch. She was concerned that someone had potentially broken into her house.

Someone reportedly ran into an air-conditioning unit at a residence on East Second Street.
