Twins rally past Calgary
WHITEFISH — Jack Schwaiger singled home the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Glacier Twins A to a come-from-behind, 3-2 victory over the Calgary Redbirds A on Friday night in the Ed Gallo Memorial Tournament.
The Twins tied the game in the bottom of the seventh inning on a Ryan Veneman sacrifice.
Coby Clark-Dickenson, who led Glacier with four hits, drove in the first run in the third inning with a double to center field.
Calgary regained the lead with a run in the top of the fourth, a lead that stood until Glacier rallied in the final two innings.
Tyler Murphy pitched seven innings for the Twins, allowing three hits and two runs (neither were earned).
Clark-Dickenson pitched a perfect eighth inning to pick up the win on the mound.
The Twins return to action at 10:30 a.m. against the Havre Northstars.

Lakers A win twice at Howard Rein Tourney
BOZEMAN — The Kalispell Lakers A rebounded from an opening round defeat Thursday night, scoring a total of 28 runs in a pair of blowout victories Friday at the Howard Rein Memorial Tournament.
The Lakers downed the Livingston Braves 15-1 in a run-rule-shortened game and followed it up with a 13-6 victory over the Butte Muckers.
Kalispell jumped on Livingston quickly in its first game of the day, scoring five runs in the first inning and six in the third to take a commanding early lead.
Starter Evan Todd threw all five innings for the Lakers, allowing four hits and the Braves’ lone run.
The offensive production came from all parts of the Kalispell lineup.
Seven of nine starting Lakers had at least two hits and scored at least two runs.
Taylor Morton led the way with three RBIs.
The top four batters in the order — Tyler Kitch, Grant Marsh, Cole Crosby and Jonathan Craver — recorded two runs and two RBIs apiece.
The offensive onslaught continued in the Lakers’ second game, played immediately after their first, against the Muckers.
Kalispell put up eight runs in the first three innings, once again pulling away early. The Lakers added five insurance runs in the top of the fifth, and Butte scored four of its six runs in the bottom half of the inning.
Like in Game 1, the top of the lineup did its part.
Grant Marsh, Adam Joy and Taylor Morton — the top three batters in the order — totaled six hits, five runs scored and eight RBIs. Nate Kelly also chipped in two runs and two RBIs.
Crosby received the win for his three innings of work, in which he allowed three hits and two runs, though only one was earned.
The Lakers will resume tournament play tonight at 7:30 p.m. against the Bozeman Bucks.

LIBBY — The Northern Lakes posted three or more runs in four of five innings against Libby on Friday night, blowing past the Loggers 15-2 in a game shortened by run rule at the Big Bucks Tournament.
Andrew Neilson and Logan McDonald each had three hits and five RBIs to lead the Lakes’ offense, which posted three runs in the second and third innings, four runs in the fourth and five runs in the fifth.
Libby committed four errors that led to four unearned Northern runs.
Raul Rodriguez paced the Libby offense with a hit and an RBI.
The Loggers will return to action today at 6:15 p.m. against Strathmore Reds.

Medicine Hat
MEDICINE HAT — Pat O’Connell’s five RBIs in Game 1 propelled the Kalispell Lakers AA to a doubleheader sweep over the Medicine Hat Moose Monarchs Thursday night.
In addition to his five RBIs, O’Connell had four hits and scored a run in the opener, a 10-0 run-rule victory for the Lakers.
Kalispell scored two runs each in the first and second innings, added two more in the fourth inning and capped off the offensive explosion with four runs in the fifth.
Dawson Smith held the Medicine Hat lineup in check, allowing just four hits over five innings of shutout ball.
Eric Seaman led the Lakers with four runs, and Haydn Schlepp scored three times.
The second victory came much tougher, as the Lakers needed 12 innings to dispatch the Moose Monarchs 5-4.
After Medicine Hat tied the game with three runs in the sixth inning, both teams were held scoreless for four innings.
Kalispell pushed a run across in the top of the 11th, but the Moose Monarchs matched it in the bottom half.
Torin Bowdin held Medicine Hat hitless and scoreless over the final 1 2/3 innings to earn the win.
Seaman paced the Kalispell offense with two hits, an RBI and a run in the marathon nightcap. O’Connell added a run and an RBI.
The Lakers will be back in action Tuesday night when they host the Helena Seators in a doubleheader at Griffin Field.
