Tree removal on 4th Avenue starts Monday

Tree removal services in Kalispell are planned on Fourth Avenue East between Fifth Street East and 14th Street East starting on Monday. Fourth Avenue East will be closed in one-block segments as trees are removed for the water main replacement project. Street closures are estimated to take approximately four hours per block.

Only city trees identified by the forestry division within the Parks Department as being dead, diseased, in declining health, and/or nearing the end of their life are being removed as part of the project. The certified arborist removing the trees is coordinating work with the Parks Department.
