Ronald 'Ron' Wayne Robinson, 69

| June 28, 2017 10:22 PM

Ronald “Ron” Wayne Robinson passed away and “went to be with the Lord” on June 23, 2017, as a result of a four-wheeler accident.

He loved his four-wheeler, hunting, fishing, trap and skeet shooting. He was a National Rifle Association (NRA) member for many years. The Bison Range and Glacier National Park were two of his favorite places to go to be close to nature. After high school and the Army, he attended Ohlone College in Fremont, California.

He met Darlene Cramer (Robinson) and was married to her for 13 years.

He worked for General Motors for 30 years and retired in 1997 and moved to Montana to be closer to his daughter Jennifer Kelly (Robinson). One of the things that brought the greatest joy to him was his grandson Andrew “Drew” Speer. He taught Drew to shoot trap and skeet, which was one of his passions. He always called Drew his “Little Buddy.”

Ron had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. He helped countless people over the years that were down and out by opening his home to them or helping financially to get them back on their feet. He did not expect anything in return; he did it out of the kindness of his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Wayne Robinson, stepfather Albert “Al” Chaney and Reba “Nadine” Chaney; and siblings, Russell “Rusty” Robinson and Jeffry “Jeff” Chaney.

He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Kelly (Robinson), brother Jerald “Jerry” Robinson, sister Janell Chaney, grandson Andrew “Drew” Speer, and son-in-law Russell Kelly.

Ron will be forever missed. There will be a private family memorial July 3 to honor him and celebrate his life.
