The renowned Andrew Lloyd Weber musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” began its summer-long run earlier this week at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts.
The show is being performed by the Bigfork Summer Playhouse, now in its 58th season.
“Joseph” is a glimpse into Weber’s earlier work and features a wide variety of musical styles from including rock, funk, country and even some French flavor. The story, loosely borrowed from the Book of Genesis, highlights a hilarious and touching story of forgiveness and family set to a dynamic array of song and dance.
Brad Willcuts is the director and choreographer of the show and, in a press release, he was fired up to bring “Joseph” to life.
“I am ecstatic to be working with such a talented cast and crew in such a beautiful community,” he said. “I hope you and your whole family can come and enjoy the show”
“Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” opened Tuesday, June 27 and will run in rotation with “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” and “Mamma Mia!” until late August.
