Mary Lucille (Hovey) Young, 91

Mary Lucille (Hovey) Young was born Jan. 20, 1926, in Half Moon, Montana, to Paul and Anna Hovey.

She passed on May 13, 2017, in Kalispell

Loving mother and grandmother, she will be forever missed.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Pauleen Kinneburg, formerly of Kalispell.

She is survived by a sister, Helen Louden, of Spokane; brother, Willis Hovey, of Lowman, Idaho; daughter, JeAnna Wisher, of Columbia Falls; grandchildren, Paul, Jonna and Luke; and five great- grandchildren. Mary is also survived by adopted son Terry Simonson, his daughters Tracy, Erika and Katie, and two grandchildren.

Mary was an independent and self-reliant woman, with a continuous sense of humor and friendship. She held a career as an office manager and owned her own business, “Mary’s Collectibles.” She traveled internationally and was well known for her extensive Barbie Doll collection. She loved listening to music at the Eagles lodge. She cherished her cats.

Burial will take place at 9:30 a.m. on July 15 at Glacier Memorial Gardens, followed by a celebration of life brunch at 11 a.m. at the Kalispell Eagles.
