Omar B. Steyee, 91

Omar B. Steyee, 91, passed away March 8, 2017, in Kalispell.

He was born Jan. 4, 1926, in Dahlen, North Dakota, to Ole and Bertha Steyee. Omar attended school in North Dakota and Montana.

He married Josephine Doran in 1954; they were later divorced.

Omar was a cowboy, rancher and cattle feeder. He was an avid fan of rodeo and the PBR — Professional Bull Riders.

Omar is survived by his children, James Steyee (Tammy), Omar Steyee (Jolene), Clyde Steyee (Marlene), Carol Steyee Rivers; and numerous grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Melvin Steyee, Jim Steyee and Alf Steyee; ex-wife Josephine Steyee; and stepson Clifford Steyee.

A memorial service is planned for a later date.
