Several men were reportedly seen taking pictures and asking for people’s names and phone numbers, claiming to be with AT&T filming a commercial on U.S. 2 East. According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, someone who gave their information called in fearing they had been scammed.
Two vehicles parked on Halfmoon Road in Columbia Falls were reportedly broken into and items were stolen.
A woman received an unmarked love letter in her mailbox and claimed she had no idea who delivered it. The woman stated the letter referenced someone watching and admiring her, stating they would be together soon. The letter was turned over to the authorities.
Two dogs, a Newfoundland and German shepherd, were reported missing from a home on White Basin Road.
Some children reportedly found two large knives in the middle of a road and took them home.
A man allegedly broke into a woman’s car but took off when she caught him, leaping over a fence without taking anything.
Someone allegedly stole a vehicle from a garage on Parkway Drive by taking the keys from inside the house, according to the Kalispell Police Department.
A man claimed he was approached at his home on Fourth Avenue East by two males telling him he needed to leave town. The man said he did not know either of the males, but said one of them “got in his face,” and was very confrontational.
A man was reported for animal abuse after he was allegedly seen kicking and throwing his dogs.
Tools were reported stolen out of a truck on Sixth Avenue West.
A feral cat trapped in a laundry room allegedly bit the owner of the house. The woman said the animal needed to tested for rabies. Authorities agreed to set up a live trap to catch the cat.
Columbia Falls Police received a report of a cyclist who allegedly stopped by a gas station and stole two cartons of cigarettes from behind the counter.
