Bobbie Kay (Ostby) Beach, 72

Bobbie Kay Ostby was born Aug. 23, 1944, to Freda and Robert Ostby in Kalispell.

Bobbie died April 30, 2017, at her home in Martin City.

Bobbie married Howard Fauley at a young age of 15, became a mother shortly after that, and was a mother to many until the day she died. She would always say that was her greatest accomplishment in life. Bobbie married again to Norman Beach who was her soul mate.

Bobbie Kay did so many jobs and owned several business — way too many to name. She did taxes for years and people knew her as “The Tax Lady.” Her hobbies were numerous also, a few were camping, golfing, arts and crafts, boating with Norm on their “Love Boat” which was a pontoon houseboat Norm built from scratch, and her trips to the ocean. She loved playing games with her sisters and friends and did that up until the day she died. She was in many organizations and took pride in being a volunteer fireman. She was very active in her church and loved telling everyone the wonderful love of Jesus. Bobbie Kay loved her family unconditionally and would have given the shirt off her back to anyone (and sometimes did just that). Her pride and joy was great-grandson Michael, age 5.

Bobbie Kay was preceded in death by both her parents, husband Norman Beach, stepson Jay Beach, and grandson Pierce Beach.

Her survivors include daughter, Tammy Fauley, of Astoria, Oregon; sons Chuck Fauley of Coram, and Mike Beach of Hungry Horse; grandchildren include Alyssa Beach of Columbia Falls and Jane Beach of Hungry Horse; great-grandchildren, Michael and Madeline Anderson of Columbia Falls; sisters, Karen Lietz (husband Don), and Judy Johnson (husband Jack); numerous nephews, nieces, and special niece Valerie Johnson who was a big help to her, all living in Montana; and many friends who loved her dearly as she loved them all too.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 5, at the Canyon Community Church in Coram. A potluck will follow services at the ED building next to the church. Columbia Mortuary is caring for Bobbie’s family.
