Lakers AA lash Mission Valley A, 21-0

The Kalispell Lakers AA team started fast and rolled in a 21-0 nonconference rout of Mission Valley on Tuesday at Griffin Field.

Three combined pitchers helped the Lakers hold Mission Valley to just two hits in the win.

Kalispell (4-1) got off to a strong start with two runs in the first inning but exploded in the third for nine runs. Seven more runs in the fourth helped put the game away.

Dawson Smith was 3 for 4 with a double and six RBIs in the win and Ryan Symmes was 4 for 5 from the plate with three RBIs.

Drew Scherrer, Torin Bowden and Jonas Nyman teamed up on the mound to keep the Mariners bats silent virtually all game.

Izyk Gillingham and Xavier Fisher had the only hits for Mission Valley, which also commited seven errors in the loss.
