Bibler Home and Gardens host spring events
Flathead Valley Community College and the Bibler Foundation invite the public to tour the Bibler Home and Gardens this month and enjoy a gourmet Mother’s Day Brunch. Proceeds from the events will benefit scholarships for FVCC students.
The Bibler home is known for its vibrant gardens as well as its collection of antiques, sculptures and Persian tapestries. With the exception of privately arranged tours, the home and gardens are accessible only through the FVCC Foundation tours during select weekends in May and during July and August when the summer flowers are in full bloom.
Spring Weekends, featuring guided two-hour tours of the Bibler Home and Gardens, is scheduled for May 13, 20 and 21 at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tours include opportunities to address questions to the Bibler’s head gardener. Tickets are $15 per adult and $5 per child.
A special viewing of the Bibler’s collection of Persian tapestries and weavings is scheduled for May 20 at 1:30 p.m.
The event will offer guests a chance to see the extensive tribal rug and weaving collection along with an opportunity to tour the gardens with the head gardener. Tickets are $20 per person. This tour is not recommended for children.
On May 14, the Culinary Institute of Montana at FVCC will present a gourmet Champagne Mother’s Day Brunch in the Bibler home from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Guests will be treated to a live performance by concert violinist Wai Mizutani and will have an opportunity to explore the gardens on their own. Tickets to the brunch are $60 per person or $110 per couple.
Tickets for all events are limited and must be purchased in advance by calling 406-756-3632 or visiting www.biblergardens.org.
