Raccoons a questionable pet to keep

A woman reported a resident to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office for keeping pet raccoons in a cage behind her house. The woman accused the person of feeding a dog to the raccoon after she allegedly heard a dog shrieking and then go quiet.

After leaving their home unlocked during a weekend away, a couple returned home to find several items missing from their house on Rick O’Shay Way.

A man living near the Stillwater River reported a large amount of foam in the river. The man said he believed someone had dumped something into the river upstream, but he had not witnessed such an event.

Someone reported a log resembling a body floating in the Flathead River.

An aluminum boat was reported stolen from a swimming area.

A vehicle was reported stolen from Jellison Lane.

A cyclist reported a driver for throwing a glass bottle out the window of the moving vehicle, nearly hitting the cyclist.

Someone called the Columbia Falls Police to admit to hitting a child on a bicycle while driving. The child was in school at the time of the report and was not injured. The child’s parents had not yet made a report.

A group of seven kids were reported for shooting a sign with BB guns. The kids allegedly had a black dog with them, and some were said to be carrying knives.

A man was reported to Kalispell Police for walking down the center of East Oregon Street and was said to be “completely zoned out.” When a driver honked at the man and went to go around him, the man allegedly began yelling profanity and ran up to hit the driver’s car with his fist.

A truck was reported stolen from Yellowstone Street.

A man was reported for siphoning gas out of a vehicle on North Meridian Road with a hose and bucket.
